Carol Bunten, M.D.Dr. Bunten graduated from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Oregon Health & Science University. She won a fellowship to study Obstetrics and Gynecology at Queen Mother’s Hospital, Glasgow, Scotland, and has also volunteered at the Verbo Clinic, a missionary-run public health clinic and surgicenter in Cuenca, Ecuador. Dr. Bunten currently practices at the Vancouver Clinic.

He then attended Medical School and completed residency in OB/GYN at Oregon Health & Science University. He completed fellowship training in maternal-fetal medicine and clinic genetics at OHSU. His main research interests at OHSU include recurrent pregnancy loss, premature labor prevention, and prenatal diagnosis. He is married and has four sons with whom he enjoys many outdoor activities.

She received her Masters in Genetic Counseling from Brandeis University and successfully passed both the genetic counseling and medical genetics boards to become a Board Certified Genetic Counselor. As a new mother herself, she enjoys spending time with her husband, baby daughter and dog. On their days off, they like to BBQ, take weekend trips to the coast and you can find them cheering on the Oregon Ducks.
