When used correctly, car seats protect your child. Come learn the basics of car seat buying, installing and using. For parents who have had previous birth classes. This class focuses on the difference between your previous birth and what you might expect this time. New moms (babies too!) and pregnant women are invited to take a break from the day’s challenges, meet other new momsand enjoy tea, refreshments and education about the journey into motherhood. More information > Wellness and Safety for Babies up to 1 Year September 26, 7-8:30 p.m. Other dates: November 7. Southwest Washington Medical Center, Health Education Center. $20 per couple. The "Safety" portion of this class will include: Safety outside the home such as in strollers, at the playground, sun exposure, water safety, continued use of care seats and baby proofing your home. The "Wellness" portion will address "Well Baby" visits to the doctor, minor illness, introducing food and continued breastfeeding. Registration required.
